The book is beautiful, the recipes are creative, and it’s just very Californian in the best possible way. You can now buy it on Amazon, bookshop.org, and in local bookstores around San Francisco (as of Sunday, it was in stock at Bernal Cutlery). Feeling inspired to take a coastal day trip? Drive to the coast around Half Moon Bay and try your hand at seaweed foraging or take a hike along the Half Moon Bay Coastal Trail. Refuel with lunch at Dad’s (of course) and bring a cooler to grab some fresh fish at the Half Moon Bay Fish Market on your way home. If you happen to be driving north at sunset, Moss Beach Distillery is a good stop for drinks on their patio overlooking the ocean—dress warm.
